Personal
Information
I was
brought up in Co. Wexford, Ireland and came to Cornell in 2005 after my
BSc degree in Dublin. My research interests are varied but are centred
around the kinetics and organic chemistry of enzyme mechanism. As an
undergraduate in Dublin I carried out research in computational inorganic
chemistry and also the synthesis of glucuronamide derivatives with
potential antiviral activity.
In my free
time, amongst other things, I am a keen golfer (at least in the summertime
- Irish weather may not be spectacular but at least there is year-round
golf!), and also enjoy cooking and
eating good food.
