Personal Information
 

I was born and brought up till 12^th grade in Pune, a beautiful city in Western India, which is reputed educationally to be the ‘Oxford of the East’! (refer to Wikipedia!)

I completed my Bachelors degree in Chemistry from Jadavpur University, Calcutta and did my Masters in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

I have always wanted to study biology at the very basic level. As chemistry is very intrinsically involved with any biological system, be it through small molecules or reaction kinetics, this seemed like the best route to approach the underlying nuances of biology.

Hence, I joined this enzymology lab for my grad studies which has an exciting mixture of appropriate chemistry methodology applied into molecular biology. And I am enjoying it here ever since!!
