When the Department Newsletter re-started in 1968, Professor Albert W. Laubengayer (Cornell BChem 1921, PhD 1926, Lecturer 1927, Assistant Professor 1928, Emeritus 1966) began writing a column entitled "Lauby's Cornell Chemical Recollections." These recollections of former faculty, staff, and general department information are a wonderful look back into the history of the department
