Welcome to the DiSalvo Research Group webpage. We are excited that you've chosen to visit us, and have an interest in the work that we do.
Our research focuses on the synthesis, characterization and potential applications of new solid state materials. Particularly, we have a robust and growing focus on developing new materials for fuel cell technologies, as well as a continuing program in the chemistry of solid state nitrides and in thermoelectric materials.

Congratulations, Dr. Orilall!!
M. Chris Orilall, a joint-student with the DiSalvo and Wiesner groups, successfully passed his B-Exam, earning his Doctor of Philosophy degree. Chris is leaving us with his Ph.D. and is taking a research position at a National Laboratory in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Good bye Chris and good luck, you will be missed.

New Faces:
The DiSalvo group recently added three new Graduate Student members. Raymond Burns, a 1st year graduate student, comes to us from Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY. Hao Chen, also a 1st year graduate student, comes to us from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL. Minh Nguyen, also a 1st year graduate student, comes to us from the University of LaVerne in LaVerne, CA. We're sure to expect great things from them in the future.
Additionally the DiSalvo Group has recently added several Undergraduate students to our Roster. Please see the Current Member Page to meet our personnel.
