Protein Production Facility
Web Address: http://cores.lifesciences.cornell.edu
Phone: 5-8844
Address: B-77 Spencer T. Olin Laboratory
The Protein Facility in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology provides equipment, expertise and service to support chemical biology efforts around campus. Services include molecular biology and protein purification to produce large amounts of pure protein that can be used as needed. The availability of these services will allow some groups to increase their throughput by freeing them from repetitive protein purifications and standard molecular biology. Furthermore, the facility will allow groups that are not already equipped and trained for protein production to obtain significant amounts of pure protein without the investment of time, effort and training normally associated with moving into a new area of research and without having to make the large financial commitment necessary to equip a lab for protein production.
