Chem 006 Course Information

Fall 2006, Jane Walcott

Syllabus: Chem 006 is a course offered by the Learning Strategies Center (LSC) and the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology to help students improve their performance in Chem 206. It is designed to provide an opportunity for supplemental instruction and practice on material covered in Chem 206. Emphasis is placed on the understanding of important concepts and principles in chemistry, and the development of problem-solving strategies and study skills. Chem 006 is not designed to provide a comprehensive review of all of the material covered in Chem 206. Rather, the focus will be on the most important and/or most confusing concepts covered in Chem 206. We will work on developing strategies to help you learn the course content more efficiently, so you can retain it and recall it when needed. We will also work on developing strategies for solving commonly encountered problems in general chemistry.
